Andrene's love of writing was instilled in her by her mother, although if her mum was still alive, she'd be smacking Andrene across the back of the head given the direction some of her writing has taken. Irreverent, cutting and reflecting her background as a stand-up comic, it's edgy with humour that can be rather dark.
Andrene’s currently concentrating on her cozy Marina Witches Mysteries about a jinxed witch with Bruce Lee moves and her muffin-loving Jack Russell familiar. Meanwhile simmering away on the back burner is DietVale, a comic horror set on a fat farm and that follows the premise “When you say you’d do anything to lose the extra weight, do you really mean it?”.
Andrene lives in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand.

Anna Klein grew up on fantastical fairy tales and hasn't yet seen any reason to grow out of playing pretend. She's originally from Hungary, but moved to New Zealand when she was seven and has lived there since. She originally wanted to be an archaeologist and discover pyramids in Egypt, until she realised this would involve sleeping in tents in a desert with scorpions, so she abandoned that plan in favour of reading a lot of books about Egypt instead, which was an acceptable second choice as reading was her very favourite thing in the world.
Reading eventually led her to computer games and roleplaying games where she could dabble in ways to be all the things you can't really be these days - knights, sorcerers, time travellers, Victorian ladies, vampires, space cowboys, pirates, heroes and more. She completed a Masters degree in English, studying horror literature (the works of H.P. Lovecraft), but now writes about sweet, geeky, and slightly awkward people finding love. When not writing, she works as a software tester. Her hobbies include sewing costumes, computer games, live action roleplaying games, general geekery and napping in a sunbeam like a cat.
Reading, however, is still her favourite thing of all and she believes art is the closest thing to magic in the world.

Water and Writing have W in common and they have Pamela in common too. I like to immerse myself in both. Ever since I could hold a pencil, making marks on paper drew me and so did water. Things live in water – even in a mud puddle. Things below surfaces hold my attention; the psychology of ‘what lies beneath’ intrigues me as a writer. None of us is measured only by what we present on our surface. I’m a Kai Viti – born and bred in Fiji as was my Mother and her Mother. The magic of those islands has instilled itself in my world. Although I live in New Zealand now, that tropical undercurrent always remains. Expect of my writing therefore that things will not always be as they appear. I write contemporary romance and paranormal and urban fantasy in which you will find new perspectives on everyday subjects.
